Biocycle

The Micromet Lab at Penn State University focuses on activities to advance understanding of the surface-atmosphere interactions responsible for the transport of energy and trace gases in the lower atmosphere. Field investigations on trace gas fluxes, theoretical studies on energy and carbon cycling in the biosphere, and instrument develop comprise the salient research activities. High quality instruction is vigorously pursued as a way to couple research and teaching. International opportunities exist for graduate students to work in countries such as Brazil, Canada, Panama, and Senegal. Outreach activities allow faculty and students to share research findings with and explain the importance of science to the general public.
